William and Jane Greenlaw came to North America from Scotland in 1753, together with six sons. They eventually settled in what is now Deer Isle, Maine. Following the insurrection of 1776, most of the remaining family moved up to New Brunswick, Canada, in the town of St. Andrews.

The Greenlaw Family Association consists of descendants of Bill and Jane and others interested in the family, most of whom still live in Canada and the United States. I am descended through their son Johnathan, whose great-grandson moved to Northern California from St. Andrews in the 1860's.

We are not actually a CLAN, as the picture would indicate. There are strict rules establishing a clan. We are more like a gang, I suppose. Maybe we need a secret handshake?

On an historical note, the original Greenlaw Family Association website used this URL. It was on-line in early 2005 but, apparently, withered on the line (sorry) at some point and the URL became available. I snapped it up to keep it from becoming political or religious or commercial and, hopefully, to act as a pointer to the NEW IMPROVED GFA website.
